KETI is the R&D institute specializing in electronics and IT under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy(MOTIE) of the Republic of Korea. Since its establishment in 1991, KETI has been a strong partner of small and medium-sized companies in Korea. Despite the recent difficult external environment caused by COVID-19, it has served as a platform for corporate growth by customizing future promising technologies, capabilities, and infrastructure owned by our researchers.

  Countries around the world are making every effort to secure global leadership in digital and green technology which initiates building of a new supply chain and a major industrial transformation, centering around their key industrial technologies. This clearly demonstrates that the era of a major industrial transformation has arrived with preference of velocity over scale. It brings South Korea both significant threats and opportunities to stand tall as one of the genuine advanced countries.

  Such changes in the global environment present a great crisis and opportunity for KETI. To overcome the situation, KETI takes active action to perform 4 major management tasks such as a research system adapting to the great industrial transformation, a cooperative business support system in line with corporate growth, a creative research environment system guaranteeing autonomy, and a human resource system encouraging self-improvement of employees. By doing so, we would like to promise another 30 years of hope.

  We will also encourage researchers to engage in challenging projects for signature technology development and push for international joint R&D projects aiming to strategically respond to self-contained supply chains, thereby taking a leap forward in becoming the ‘global technology leader’ which shapes the future.

  For the past 30 years, KETI has been leading the growth of the domestic electronics industry. Today, KETI would like to renew itself. We kindly ask for your support that we embark on the journey to lay the foundation for KETI’s another 30-year-long-hope.
